ABOUT MIKE
Mike Biana, also known simply as “Mike B,” is the In-Game Host for Major League Baseball’s Miami Marlins. Born and raised in the Philippines, Mike was the first in his family to attend an American university, and in 2013, he graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunication. Mike was heavily involved in both radio and television at the UF College of Journalism, hosting the radio news program First Page Edition of All Things Considered on WUFT-FM and working as a general assignment reporter and entertainment anchor for WUFT News. Mike also delivered electric commentary as the lead play-by-play announcer for Ocala high school football on WITG Classic Hits 104.7.
Prior to his current role with the Marlins, Mike was a reporter/producer at Coral Gables Television for more than three and a half years, where he covered the latest happenings in “The City Beautiful” and hosted a variety of live programming on CGTV including the annual Junior Orange Bowl Parade and Coral Gables 4th of July Spectacular, among others. Mike also helped pioneer CGTV’s use of Facebook Live as regular programming on its social media channels. Mike’s crowning achievement with the City came in 2016, when he was awarded a Bronze Telly Award for his TV package, “Mayor for a Day.”
As a longtime resident of Broward County and almost exclusively spending his entire professional career working in Miami-Dade, Mike has found it increasingly important to invest his time and efforts in the South Florida community. He is a volunteer vocalist at Church by the Glades in Coral Springs, FL, where he has also been a life group leader, prayer partner and the host for the church’s television program.
Today, you can find Mike energizing the crowd at Marlins Park, and make no mistake about it: as a fan of the Marlins since his childhood, hosting games for his hometown baseball team is his dream job!
